Having the right gun or melee weapon for an encounter with others will make sure that the player will be the one to walk away from their enemies. With so many weapons to choose from, it is of no surprise that some of these guns rank higher than others, while others are better left alone.
10 A Simple Axe In Tough Times
Melee weapons in a shooter game are incredibly undesired, especially late into the game, however, those that are just starting out and wanting a replacement for the knife they commonly drop with will want to consider the axe.
Axes are also multipurpose as a player will need one to chop wood to build their own bases, and therefore it doesn’t hurt to have one equipped. It may also save the life of the player in a moment of panicked combat that is far too close for comfort.
9 Close-Quarter Combat Master P900
Following on from panicked up-close combat, players that have mastered their fears, or are more daring than others, may wish to equip themselves with a weapon that allows them to rush opponents.
It can be found commonly in cargo drops and helicopter crates or bought from a wandering trader for $260,000. The P900 has a great rate of fire making it brilliant for fast up close combat, not to mention its recoil pattern being one of the best, allowing players to not lose so many bullets.
8 The Fully-Customizable UMR 45
Compared to the other guns on this list, the UMR 45 falls behind when considering that the majority of enemies a player will face are most likely to be equipped with some sort of armor. However, this SMG still benefits greatly from combat that spans urban areas where there isn’t much distance between players.
The UMR 45 is still a desired weapon due to the number of modifications a player can do to it to make this simple gun fit their own play style better.
7 AR4 Is Rare But Worth It
Players may struggle to get their hands on an AR4, although found in the usual places like helicopter crates, soldier bases, and also soldiers themselves, the AR4 is one of the less common to show up, and for good reason.
Unlike other assault rifles in its category, the AR4 is by far one of the bests for its intense rate of fire, firing a whopping 800 rounds a minute while also having less recoil than many other options available. This makes it a great choice for endgame plays of Deadside.
6 Jack of All Trades, Master Of None AK-Mod
Players are most likely to face other players with the Ak-mod equipped, it is one of the most commonly used guns in the game, usually for its versatility of being able to face any battle confidently. There isn’t one thing that this assault rifle does poorly.
However, as suggested, this also means that the gun doesn’t excel in anything either. A player will want to find a different weapon to use alongside the AK-mod, which excels in an area, so they are able to get the upper hand.
5 Starting And Staying With The S85
Players are most likely to come across the S85 as one of their first weapons to pick up. Especially due to how common it is to find them on weak NPC enemies such as bandits, as well as in mission crates and soldier bases.
Although many of the other rifles may outrank this bolt-action for their distance, the S85 is still a great weapon to pick up. Specializing in mid-range combat, this is where it excels the most, bringing down a foe in only 2 shots.
4 The Ranged Terror Of The VSD
The VSD is just as rare as the AR4 but far deadlier to an opponent from a distance. This marksman rifle is seen as one of the highest-ranking weapons in the game, though up close this may not seem so likely. Especially due to its poor handling and large frame, making it harder to use around doorways and the like.
This makes the VSD much better for sniping from a distance, which is commonly used during missions. Though, it is still a great choice of weapon in PVP, as long as the wielder has the skill to use it.
3 Team Wiper Scorp
Speed once again out rules distance, as the Scorp is known for how it can quickly take down enemy teams. Many players that are skilled enough with this SMG have the capability if lucky to take down a team of four all by themselves.
They have the Scorp’s rate of fire to thank for that, as it’s Deadside’ssecond-fastest gun. Players will not want to run this gun on its own, and therefore it is better recommenced as a secondary weapon over being a primary force.
2 Brutal Hits With The N4
As the one and only shotgun to star on this list, the N4 is not a weapon that should be taken lightly. Shotguns in Deadside have the capability to kill an enemy instantly as long as the player is up-close.
Players will want to use this semi-automatic shotgun in urban areas where players are packed in close to get the most damage out of using their shotgun. The only downfall with this weapon minus the lack of range is the slow loading time, which may leave a player open to attacks.
1 The AK-SU’s Heavy Shots Hit Hard
Players will never run out of ammo for this assault rifle, as heaps of it can be found across the map, but this is only one benefit of the AK-SU. This automatic carbine has the power to kill an unarmored enemy up close with only 3 hits, and an armored one for 6.
This makes the AK-SU another great option for those hoping to rush in and attack, though it becomes far less lethal at a distance and much harder to handle with its poor recoil.
Deadside is available on PC.
