The first step to completing Deadly Premonition 2’s A Chef of Tradition side quest is to find Rice, and that can be done by visiting the Clarkson Sugar Cane Plantation that is north of the diner. More specifically, the Rice can be found on the ground to the right of the building, and the following video will act as a visual reference for players that want one:

After a player has located the Rice in this new survival horror game, they should then take it back to Alexus to advance to the next step of the Chef of Tradition side quest. In this step, fans must locate a Green Pepper, and it can be found on a bench in front of Alexus’ House – the residence with garden gnomes that can be found to the east of the diner. Once again, here is a video that highlights the location of this ingredient:
Finally, players that are trying to complete this Deadly Premonition 2 side quest will need to get Thyme, which is obtained through the Red Shapes in the Night mission that comes from Avery. To finish Red Shapes in the Night, fans will need to defeat 30 Red Shadows, and Avery can be found in the park by the cemetery on Saturday mornings. Notably, Avery will also occasionally appear outside of Clarkson Food Delivery Service, but players may not get the side quest if they do not speak with this Deadly Premonition character at the aforementioned time and location.
Once a fan has obtained the Thyme in Deadly Premonition 2, they can then give it to Alexus to complete A Chef of Tradition. As a reward they will receive the Jambalaya de FBI and the ability to purchase the dish, which fills all meters except for the sleep meter and will certainly assist as players work to beat Deadly Premonition 2.
Deadly Premonition 2 is available now on Switch.
