What Time Does Dead Space Unlock?

For players looking to explore the USG Ishimura on release day, EA Motive released a table with information on when the remake of Dead Space will unlock for players. As opposed to being a local launch at midnight, Dead Space will unlock globally for all players. The times that Dead Space unlocks are as follows.

January 27th, 8 AM PST (Los Angeles) January 27th, 10 AM CST (Mexico City) January 27th, 11 AM EST (New York) January 27th, 1 PM BST (Sao Paulo) January 27th, 4 PM GMT (London) January 27th, 5 PM CET (Berlin) January 28th, 12 AM CST (Beijing) January 28th, 12 AM HKT (Hong Kong) January 28th, 1 AM JST (Tokyo) January 28th, 3 AM AEDT (Sydney)

Due to the global launch, this means that Dead Space players in CST, HKT, JST, and AEDT time zones will unfortunately not get to play the game until a day after release date. Keep in mind, however, that the list above applies only to players who purchased the digital version of the game. Players who picked up a physical copy can play the game as soon as they have it.

When can Dead Space be Pre-Loaded?

Players who pre-ordered the digital version of Dead Space may be wondering when they can pre-load the game and save some time when the game launches. According to EA Motive, Dead Space will be available for download on the following dates.

Xbox Series X/S: January 20th, 8:00 AM PT (11:00 AM EST) Playstation 5: January 25th, 8:00 AM PT (11:00 AM EST) EA app, Steam, Epic Game Store: January 25th, 8:00 AM PT (11:00 AM EST)

While many games coming out on next-generation consoles are growing increasingly larger in terms of file size, Dead Space is much smaller in comparison. As opposed to games like Forspoken, Dead Space is a little under 32 GB in terms of file size. So while players will need to make sure they have space for the game, it won’t eat up anywhere near as much space as other games. Players who pre-ordered on Steam also get a copy of Dead Space 2.

Dead Space launches January 27 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
