Training Mode is exclusively available for mobile and gives players the chance to hone their survival and hunter skills against a bot. Dead by Daylight Senior Product Manager Alexandre Rogaume said the new feature was included so that players “can practice and get better at escaping or killing without the stakes of a live-game.” This means new players can get better at the horror-survival game without having to learn how to play in multiplayer matches against more experienced players.

Dead by Deadlight pits four players against one in a Carpenter-inspired environment reminiscent of Friday the 13th’s Camp Crystal Lake. The game debuted on consoles in 2016, but the recent Dead By Daylight mobile port gave it a second life. The singled-out player takes up the role of the savage killer and must hunt and kill the other four players to claim victory. Despite being outnumbered, playing as the killer character is perhaps the easier role, as you are impossible to kill and are faster than the rest of the players.

Conversely, the comparatively weak survivor characters must escape by working together to activate five generators scattered across the map, or by escaping through a hatch that only opens when one player is left alive, all while running and hiding from the killer character. Their one advantage is having a third-person view as opposed to the killer’s first-person perspective.

Training mode is not the only new feature coming to Dead by Daylight. Behavior Interactive announced the new update gives mobile players access to Classic Ghost Face Outfit. Brand new outfits were also added to the Cook Out collection, including outfits for The Clown, The Huntress, Ace Visconti, and Jane Romero.

The new outfits are the latest in the slew of new content that Behavior Interactive has added to the game in recent months. In celebration of its four-year anniversary, Behavior Interactive added an update that featured a cross over with Silent Hill, allowing players to live out their twisted fantasy of running away from Pyramid Head.

Dead by Daylight is available for Android, IOS, PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch.
