Dead by Daylight Mobile was developed by Behavior Interactive in 2017 and is adapted from the popular one-versus-four horror survival game from PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, and Nintendo Switch. Players control the killer or the survivors, the objective for the survivors is to turn on all of the generators in the map and escape, or for the killer to sacrifice survivors to “the Entity.”
In the original game, there are a total of 21 survivor characters to choose from and seven possible movie villains from iconic franchises such as Halloween, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and Stranger Things. Sadly not all of them are available in the mobile version yet. Still, earlier this week, Behavior Interactive added Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre under the title “The Cannibal” to join in on the carnage.
After purchasing Leatherface from the game, players will be able to chase down survivors with his trusty chainsaw and cut them up into pieces. Leatherface specializes in attacking multiple survivors at once by swinging his chainsaw in wide arcs. However, the killer can be stunned if the player isn’t careful and the chainsaw hits something in the environment.
If players spend enough time with killers, they can acquire perks and give them to different killers whose playstyle they prefer. In the console game, one of Leatherface’s perks called “Barbeque & Chili” is famous for its ability to briefly show the locations of survivors on the map once the player places one of them on a hook, pointing the killer in the right direction for the next victim.
Not all of the characters from the original game were able to be ported over immediately to the mobile version because of licensing issues. Once they are all worked into the game, Behavior Interactive plans to schedule the mobile and original game’s content to have identical release schedules. So until that day comes, enjoy reliving classic moments from the movie as Leatherface terrorizes the survivors.
Dead by Daylight Mobile is available now for Andriod and iOS.
