Multiple Dead by Daylight leaks of unclear origin appear to be disseminated across social media featuring content from the upcoming Resident Evil Chapter DLC. The leaks include assets for the new Resident Evil Killer and two Survivors. As assumed based on the initial Dead by Daylight Resident Evil teaser, the Killer is none other than Wesker. The Survivors are Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers.

The assets include normal and bloodied models for all three Resident Evil characters. Wesker is sporting his recognizable sunglasses and trenchcoat, and his weapon is a dagger. Ada Wong is in her Resident Evil 2 red dress. Rebecca Chambers has her tactical gear with a white bullet-proof vest, fingerless gloves, and a blood-red choker. Needless to say, for Resident Evil fans, all three characters will appear in Dead by Daylight in their most familiar forms.
As for more specific gameplay details, Wesker will be known in Dead by Daylight as The Mastermind. Wesker’s personal Perks include Superior Anatomy, a vaulting speed-up triggered by a Survivor doing a fast vault, Awakened Awareness, which reveal auras of Survivors when carrying a Survivor, and Terminus, which tags Survivors with the Broken status effect after exit gates are powered. Ada Wong’s Perks are Wiretap, Reactive Healing, and Low Profile, while Rebecca Chambers’ Perks are Better Than New, Reassurance, and Hyperfocus. The details for each Survivor Perk haven’t been finalized, and as such, aren’t available.
While a majority of the leak could easily have been faked by a Dead by Daylight/Resident Evil fan with some time on their hands, what makes the leak persuasive is that it includes certain audio files. The audio includes chase music for Wesker. It’s suitably grandiose and should be terrifying for Survivors that hear it.
Behaviour Interactive confirmed that a new Resident Evil Chapter for Dead by Daylight was in development in May, dubbed Project W. When the Chapter would arrive has yet to be announced, however. While these leaks may imply the Chapter could be arriving soon, it’s likely a way out yet as Behaviour continues to work on it. Dead by Daylight is rather notorious for leaking game info well ahead of its release. Expect more information in the weeks and months to come.
Dead by Daylight is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
