Cybil Bennett is a character first featured in the original Silent Hill, released in 1999. She is a cop who rescues protagonist Harry Mason in the game’s opening and features persistently throughout the story, assisting Harry in solving the mystery of his daughter Cheryl’s disappearance. Cybil does not appear in any of the game’s sequels, however she was portrayed by Laurie Holden in the 2006 film adaptation and appeared in Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, a re-imagining of the first game released on the Nintendo Wii, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation Portable.

The Dead by Daylight Cybil Bennett Legendary Set is available now in the game’s in-game shop for 1485 Auric Cells and she acts as a skin for Cheryl Mason, requiring the player to own the Silent Hill Chapter DLC first released in June of this year. Despite the character appearing as only a skin, this marks the first time Cybil is a playable character ever, as she has never appeared as a playable character in any of the Silent Hill titles.

Dead by Daylight’s Silent Hill Chapter not only introduces Cheryl Mason and Pyramid Head to the game as playable character, but also opens the door to Konami and Behaviour Interactive’s future as collaborators, with the Cybil Bennett Legendary Set likely being the first of many to come for Dead by Daylight. Even characters such as Silent Hill 2’s Maria also possibly joining the game as a skin for Cheryl. The DLC also adds Silent Hill’s Midwich Elementary School as a map for Dead by Daylight as well as featuring some music tracks from beloved Silent Hill soundtrack composer Akira Yamaoka, who is currently working on developer Bloober Team’s upcoming Xbox Series X horror game The Medium.

The Cybil Bennett Legendary Set is out now for Dead by Daylight, which is available for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
